The bird is very disappointed in how many books I have on my Did-Not-Finish shelf.
It isn’t just the bird judging. Nancy’s in on it, too.
(And no, I haven’t started any of the books for the 2012 TBR Pile Challenge.)
“You haven’t read The Lorax? It’s only Dr. Seuss’ commentary on the enviromental plight our country/Earth was (and still is) facing. At least you’ll read it before the movie comes out, right?” Asketh the red bird.
We’re dealing with one smart bird. Even he has a #fridayreads this week! And yes, I’m also surprised that I haven’t read The Lorax (I had never heard of it until I saw the trailer a couple of weeks ago). Apparently my mom wasn’t into reading me Dr. Seuss when I was a kid…or maybe he just wasn’t popular in the ’80s?
“This does not equate to good choices, fat ass,” judgeth the red bird.
I can’t hide anything from this damn bird. He knows all.
“Dear @Starbucks, November 1st is too soon for ‘merry’ shiz. Let’s wait at least a week AFTER Halloween,” stateth the red bird.
Seriously, I’m with the red bird. To make it even worse…this was FROM Halloween. It wasn’t even November yet!
“So I see you’re making better choices. Well, except for that giant diet soda,” judgeth the red bird.
He’s almost pleased…almost. Gives me something to live for…goals are good, right?
“Carrots, hummus, and Desperate Housewives? Better choice than Sonic,” stateth the red bird.
First thing I’ve eaten all day…oops.
“I heard you complaining about gaining weight…think this kind of choice has anything to do with it, fatty?” asketh the red bird. “And clean your desk!”
Yeah…eating healthy has become very tricky. I’m working on it, you stupid bird.
“Inside a handbag is not acceptable travel for me. I deserve my own seat, cheapskate,” stateth the red bird.
He should just be grateful I’m letting him leave Arizona.
“You only need cough drops and tea when you do something stupid like get sick. Have you considered taking better care of yourself? Less soda, more sleep, less crap, more good,” stateth the red bird. “Good taste in books though.”
Less crap…good advice. And was that list a bit of a compliment? I think the red bird is warming up to me…
